In this revised and updated edition other stages in the development of Yoruba intellectual culture are identified to show how the misconceptions and inconsistencies in the presentation of Yoruba philosophical ideas were brought about. The different philosophical orientations existing among Yoruba people are also revealed with the sole aim of establishing the fact that most of the ideas expressed by the Yoruba have their origin from the philosophical views of different individuals from different stages in Yoruba history.
